Letter to a Developer

July 13, 2020 by Dhiraj Pandey

Dear friend,

If you have lost your job as a front-end or backend, or full stack developer, I know these are especially hard times for you.

Or if you were just about to join the workforce, and then the jobs dried up faster than you could say, Hello World!

I’m here to tell you to stay hopeful and optimistic. Because as we say at Niswey, if you can think it, you can build it. It means if you can come up with several options that could solve the problem while keeping the big picture in mind, half the battle is won. The rest? You can code the rest with some really brilliant, beautiful code, that a fellow programmer like me can recognize as nothing short of poetry!

And that’s why I’m writing to you today.

If you’re a programmer who can solve problems, I’m looking for you.

If you consider yourself strong in PHP and JS, I want to talk to you.

If you have worked on SaaS products, I might have a role for you.

In case you haven’t heard, Martech is one of the key domains where exciting software is being built now, and for the foreseeable future. I should know. I joined as the CTO for a marketing company, Niswey, and helped it transform into a martech company. The marketers kept coming to the tech team for their problems, and we kept solving them. And now we have three martech products! And a really healthy marketing tech services business.

But we are not looking for just anyone with programming experience. We are looking for people who have a hunger to learn and grow.

People who can listen to and empathize with the other. People who are curious and look for meaning and joy in their work.

If you think you fit the bill, you can write to me directly at dhiraj [at] niswey [dot] com. Do take a look at our openings for Software Engineers and Front-end Developers.

I’ll be waiting for your mail.

Warm regards,

Dhiraj
